Laser dentistry allows for many dental procedures to be performed with no noise and very little pain. Drills work with friction and create heat, which in turn causes discomfort. Lasers target tissues without contact, heat, vibration, or pressure. They allow for many dental procedures to be performed pain-free and in fewer appointments. All lasers work by delivering energy in the form of light. Laser dentistry is for children, teens, and adults.
At ProHEALTH Dental – Long Island City, we use the Biolase Epic X. Epic laser dentistry™ is one of the most advanced dental treatments today. Epic uses unique technology that combines focused light and thermal energy for a highly precise, exceptionally gentle dental experience. Epic is fast, effective and easy.

ProHEALTH DENTAL REMAINS OPEN TO ADDRESS DENTAL EMERGENCIES
With the ongoing threat of coronavirus, the American Dental Association has issued a guideline that all elective dental procedures be postponed for three weeks. We have decided to follow this guideline and, thus, will be rescheduling appointments starting the week of April 19.
However, to address any dental emergencies that may arise, we will be maintaining office hours Monday through Saturday throughout our Lake Success, Huntington, Howard Beach, Astoria and White Plains locations listed below.
Please be assured that our offices are being operated under CDC guidelines including screening all patients who pose a risk of having coronavirus.
We will also be available via email (email@example.com) and telephone (855-PHD-CARE or 718-DENTIST) to answer any questions or address any clinical concerns you may have.
We know these are difficult times and want to do all that we can to fulfill our mission to address not just your dental and oral health needs, but to promote your overall health and well-being.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you when we resume normal operations . In the meantime, please do all that you can to stay safe and healthy.
